Chan (and maybe Chris Tucker?) will return to movie theaters for Rush Hour 4. Chan announced to the crowd at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on Thursday (December 8) that the fourth Rush Hour film is being worked on. In addition to saying that he would be discussing the script with the RH4 director that evening, Chan said, \”We\’re talking about part 4 right now.\” As director of the previous three Rush Hour movies, Brett Ratner was accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by actresses including Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge in 2017. As a result of the controversial allegations, Warner Bros. Pictures cut ties with Ratner. From 1998 to 2007, Chan starred in the first three Rush Hour films alongside comedian Chris Tucker. A spree of international crimes is being pursued by Hong Kong Detective Inspector Lee (Chan) and LAPD detective James Carter (Tucker) in the franchise. Chan admitted at the Red Sea Film Festival that he expected the film to be a box office bomb, but Rush Hour grossed $244 million worldwide, solidifying him as a Hollywood acting star. According to the actor, he also plans to quit Hollywood due to a lack of interesting roles he is pursuing.
