The trial, which lasted for 10 days, was filled with memorable moments, including a phone call between Tory Lanez and Megan’s former friend and assistant, Kelsey Harris, which the former allegedly made from jail the day after the shooting. In the call, Lanez said, “I know she’s probably never ever gonna talk to me ever again but… bruh, I just want you to know, I was just so fucking drunk, I don’t even know what the fuck was going on, deadass. I’d never do some shit like that.” He continued, “Regardless, that’s not gonna make anything right and that’s not gonna make my actions right, but I’m deeply sorry for that. Harris, in reply, said, “It was a lot, it was a lot that happened.”

Alleged audio of the shooting also surfaced during the trial, in which five gunshots can be heard being fired at a relatively steady and consistent rate. The footage was recorded on a security camera inside a nearby residence.

Kelsey Harris had been expected to corroborate Megan’s account of the shooting, but instead delivered a testimony that directly contradicted previous statements she gave prosecutors.
