Smino Freestyles During Stranded Bus Trip Due to Ice Storm

Just like the Portland Trail Blazers who were stranded for seven hours due to a snowstorm preventing them from traveling to Sacramento, rapper Smino also found himself in the same situation. His bus was caught in an ice storm near Wyoming, and they were forced to make a stop. Instead of wasting time, the rapper decided to use the opportunity to make a freestyle rap over GloRilla and Cardi B’s “Tomorrow 2” beat.

The freestyle, titled “Wyoming,” was posted on YouTube along with a video of Smino smoking on the stranded bus, vibing on the sidewalk, and recording in his hotel room. In the video, Smino can be heard dropping some clever bars such as “Back when wins ain’t come with so many bruises / Back when trends wasn’t topics, we just doin’ sht / Knew I was on sht / I could rhyme it down to the oranges” and some literal ones like “Look up, it’s snowing in Wyoming”.

Smino is currently on the Luv Is 4Ever Tour with JID. Uproxx reviewed their back-to-back nights at the Hollywood Palladium and praised their star power, saying “They both exude charm and charisma and polished, carefully practiced skill,” which can be seen from Smino’s freestyle rap even within the confines of an impromptu, unassuming moment like “Wyoming (Freestyle).”
